This picture was taken on the day of my friend’s funeral. It was April 21, 2014 when I found out my longest Life Friend was battling Ewing Sarcoma bone cancer. A form of bone cancer that usually affects children. It rarely develops in adults over 30 years old. So much can happen in ten days! Just ten days earlier she sounded incredibly happy, telling me how nice and warm it was in Vegas. I remember telling her ironically, it was warm in Illinois, too…at 54 degrees. The weather in the mid west tend to fluctuate on a daily basis.
I went into heavy prayer for my friend, interceding on her behalf. She would update me on the progress. She thought she was going to make it…we all did. One thing I will never forget is her amazingly strong faith! She died on June 27th, four days after her 34th birthday. I loved my friend, but she is with our Heavenly Father in Heaven. I will see her again. Until then I have so much work to do here on earth and am willingly embracing every opportunity that God places in front of me. My prayer is to become EVERYTHING that God has created me to be and to change everyone’s life who is connected and will be connected to that promise on my life. Be Bold. Be Courageous. We are more than Conquerors. We are built for this fight. Place the whole armor of God on and Be ready!
